Donate

The Bunny Bin accepts gently used toys that might otherwise be discarded. Your donation:

  • keeps toys out of landfills,

  • supports a growing circular economy, and

  • helps us honor all the love these toys have known, as well as the joy they’ll bring to their next home.

Just as fast fashion favors the fleeting, some toys on the market just aren’t built to last—and each rescue takes time and resources to clean, repair, and prepare for rehoming. While we hope to raise awareness around overconsumption and toys designed to last only a single brief season of play, having a few quality benchmarks ensures we can truly re-home each donation and keep the project sustainable.

What We Currently Accept:

✓ Well-made plush toys that are clean, without strong odors or severe damage

What We Sadly Can’t Accept:

✗ Toys that are low-quality, moldy, or heavily soiled

What We Hope To Accept Soon:

✗ Hard plastic, wooden, or metal toys

✗ Toys with electronics

Donation drop-offs

The Bunny Bin hosts monthly donation drop-offs at locations around Vermont. Dates and locations are posted on the calendar below. Because each rescue takes time and care to process—and because there’s only so much room in my car—capacity at each drop-off is limited. To reserve a spot, click on the event in the calendar and follow the sign-up link.

Donating By Mail:

If you're not local or unable to attend a drop-off, it may be possible to donate by mail. Please contact us before sending any toys so we can confirm we’re able to accept them.

At this time, donors are responsible for shipping costs.

USPS (mail):
The Bunny Bin
PO Box 172
Woodstock, VT 05091

UPS / FedEx deliveries:

We hope to offer donation shipping kits in the future to make the process easier.

Upcoming Collection Dates

Donations are accepted during the collection windows listed in The Bunny Bin Calendar. Collections in towns outside Woodstock are typically held one day per month. Please sign up for a drop-off time so I know how many donations to expect and can plan accordingly.

Instructions

  1. Select a collection date on the calendar.
Click the event to view the details.

  2. Follow the link in the event description to claim a drop-off time.
You’ll be taken to a scheduling page where you can choose an available time slot.

  3. Complete the booking form to reserve your spot.
You’ll receive a confirmation once your drop-off time is scheduled.

**If the collection window is fully booked, please check back for future collection dates.

Donations should be limited to two standard kitchen-sized bags per drop-off unless otherwise arranged. If possible, include any information you know about the stuffies—their names, where they came from, or a favorite memory—so we can help tell their story.

We are also beginning to accept select other quality toys in good condition, provided they are complete and not missing parts.

If you’re unable to make your scheduled time, please let me know. I’ll be leaving shortly after the collection window, so I’m unable to accept donations outside that time.

If you have trouble reserving a time, please reach out and we’ll be happy to help get you scheduled.
