Our Story

I started The Bunny Bin because we live in an age where almost everything can be replaced, including our furniture, our phones, and even our art. But replacement has a cost. And in the toy industry, that cost is staggering.

The global toy industry is worth over $111 billion. Roughly 90% of children’s toys are made from plastic, and an estimated 80% of them eventually end up in landfills, incinerators, or the ocean. In fact, 6% of all landfill plastics are toys, and many are discarded long before the end of their usable life.

At The Bunny Bin, we rescue, repair, and re-home gently loved, well-made toys, keeping them out of landfills and giving them a second (or third) life. Every toy is carefully cleaned, inspected, repaired, and restored with intention. Not to make it look brand new, but to confirm that it's ready to be loved again.

Our Mission

Our mission is three-fold:

  • Saving toys from landfills

  • Teaching families about responsible consumption, repair, and care—thereby reducing stigmas around second-hand

  • Bringing children joy
